• What to Consider When Choosing a Sisal Rug?

Sisal rugs are actually divided into two groups:
    - Natural Sisals (Speckled texture, made from real agave plants)
    - Synthetic Sisals (Looks like natural sisal but made of synthetic fibers)

Natural sisals are only dry-cleaned. They are speckled and might feel rough underfoot. Their backing is latex, which can degrade over time.

Synthetic sisals are imported from Europe. They can be wiped, vacuumed, and professionally washed. They are easy to clean, do not shed, are hypoallergenic, and are comfortable underfoot. They should not be washed in a washing machine.

  • Are they machine washable?

Sisal rugs CANNOT be washed in a washing machine, and bleach should NEVER be used.
They can be wiped down, vacuumed, and sent to professional carpet cleaners.

  • Are Sisal Rugs Available in Custom Sizes?

We do not have standard sizes. Every rug is custom-made to your specific size and bordering preferences.

  • Do Sisal Rugs Shed?

No, they do not shed. Because sisal is not jute.

  • What should we consider when measuring rugs for hallways?

There are 4 key details to watch out for when taking hallway measurements:

    1) If the floor is beautiful, avoid covering it completely. Leave a gap of at least a hand's width on each side.
    2) Set the beams or column lines as the boundary.
    3) Use masking tape to mark the area. This makes it easier to visualize the rug size you want.
    4) Take measurements with a solid tape measure, not a soft sewing tape. Then, simply send us the width and length.

  • How to Measure for a Dining Room Rug?

Whether to place a rug in the dining room depends on your decor and room size. If you want one, you can add elegance to the space with the correct size.

How do we determine the rug size?
    1) Pull the chairs out to their usable position.
    2) Mark the area with masking tape, starting about a hand-span away from the chairs.
    3) You can then choose your rug size based on these measurements.

  • Can Sisal Rugs Be Made Without Borders?

Sisal rugs cannot be made without borders, as they would unravel.
You can choose single bordering, double bordering, or piping. But they are NEVER made borderless.

    Is it never possible?
It is only possible for wall-to-wall applications.

  • Do your sisal rugs slip?

Round and oval rugs are prepared with a non-slip backing. For other sizes, non-slip backing can be added upon request. It is especially recommended to add non-slip backing for smaller sizes.

Then you can wipe it with a wet wipe using white soap or natural olive oil soap.

Or you can wipe it with a clean cloth using white soap, olive oil soap, or hand-wash dishwashing liquid.

    Do not use bleach.

After the first intervention, you can send it to professional carpet cleaning if needed.

No, our rugs are stitched. Moreover, we use blind stitching. We place leather corners so that the corners of the rug do not lift.
